I want to share the story behind our name change from Wrestling Lab to Wrestle InSight.
A Shift in Direction
I did not just want to deliver answers. I wanted to make people think. In wrestling, there is no shortage of questions worth asking. The word Lab felt too narrow. What I really wanted was to cultivate a culture of inquiry within wrestling where athletes and coaches ask their own questions and draw out genuine insight. That is why I chose the word Insight.
What Wrestle InSight Means
Wrestle – The Process of Struggling Toward Understanding
The word wrestle means more than physical combat. It also means to grapple with a problem, to push through uncertainty in search of an answer.
InSight – Seeing What Lies Beneath the Surface
Wins and losses are visible. The structures behind them are not. InSight is about developing the capacity to see those hidden patterns.
Why InSight, Not Insight
The capitalized In is deliberate: In (inside) and Sight (vision). Understanding from within, not observing from the outside.
Together: Think. Wrestle. Insight.
Brand definition: The practice of turning serious, reflective wrestling experience into language and into knowledge that can be carried forward.
What Changes, and What Stays the Same
The name is new. The mission is not. Wrestle InSight remains committed to uncovering the invisible brilliance of wrestling through science.
